About This Dog for Adoption

Bramble's ideal home

4 month old black Spaniel cross breed Bramble would like her family around for most of the day when she goes home. Once settled and in a routine leaving time could be introduced.
She enjoys a good snuggle and is happy to have a fuss, but as in true spaniel style, she likes to be busy, her adopters will need to provide daily exercise and enrichment to keep her mind busy. She will need a secure garden to ensure she access to regular toilet breaks to help her with toilet training
We see no reason that she can not live with children of any age, as long boundaries are respected and a safe space is provided for the puppy to remove herself if needed. She has not lived with cats, being a puppy, this would be down to her adopters to introduce slowly and safely.

Could you be Bramble's perfect match?

Bramble is a little fun, energetic, busy puppy who loves to be fussed, she has made herself comfortable in her foster home, she is keen to follow you around and ask for a fuss from her foster family, she has been mostly clean in the home, therefore we believe she will be easy to fully housetrain, she has lots of opportunities to use the garden. She likes squeaky toys and soft teddy toys. Like most spaniels she loves being in the garden she loves to sniff and investigate. She is walking well on the lead and travels well in a crate.
This terrific pup is already picking up the cue to 'sit' and 'down' to lay down, , she came in with her sister and they loved playing together, so we feel she could live with another dog pending a successful meet at the centre. She loves squeaky soft toys and enjoys being rewarded with treats when learning, this will help you to continue her training.

Cocker Spaniel Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Cocker Spaniel.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Cocker Spaniel Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
