About This Dog for Adoption

Marley's ideal home

Marvelous Marley is a handsome spaniel looking for an active home who can keep him physically and mentally stimulated. Marley would benefit from adopters with working breed experience who can look into doing high energy activities and scent games. Marley could live with another dog in the home pending meets at the centre. He can live with secondary school aged children who will give him space when he wants it. Marley must go to a home with a garden as he will needs lots of opportunity to burn off some of his energy. He would like his family around for most of the day to help him settle into home life. Once settled, his leaving hours can be built up. Marley does have some medical considerations that will be discussed with our vet team upon a booking.

Could you be Marley's perfect match?

Marley is a lively boy who greets all his handlers with a super waggy tail. Marley loves being on the go and has lots of energy to burn off. He likes playing with his toys and will bring them to you to show them off. Marley loves getting his nose to the ground, exploring new places and going on lots of adventures with his favourite people. Marley knows his name, sit, down and paw but would benefit from loose lead walking and disengagement from being vocal on sight on dogs. Marley, with the right family will make a wonderful addition to his forever home if they can provide him with lots of physical and mental stimulation.

Cocker Spaniel Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Cocker Spaniel.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Cocker Spaniel Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
