About This Dog for Adoption

Ted's ideal home

Ted is an 11m old Cockapoo who is part of our Home Stay scheme, which means he is living with his owners and isn't currently in the centre but once matched we can arrange for appointments to meet him here.

Ted would like someone to be around most of the time and once settled, build slowing on being left. Ted would be happy to have some dog friends outside of the home and is unable to live with a cat. He could live with sensible primary school age or above.
Although he already knows basic training, he is keen to learn new things and would like someone who is willing to continue positive reinforcement training with him, especially with loose lead walking.

Could you be Ted's perfect match?

Ted can be a little shy when meeting you to begin with, but he soon warms up to you and once he knows you, forms a lovely bond. He just loves to be with people and enjoying a fuss. Ted would love to play fetch with a ball or frisbee with you as well as go out on adventures, especially to the beach!

Hugo

  • 10 months old

Hugo's ideal home Hugo is a happy little 9-month-old Cocker Spaniel on the search for an active home. He could join a home with a neutered and fully vaccinated dog, as long as they are able to cope with a boisterous pup who wants to play. Hugo has been in a home with cats previously but again can get quite excitable so any felines in the home must be very confident and bold

Cocker Spaniel Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Cocker Spaniel.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Cocker Spaniel Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
