Reggie's ideal home

Meet Reggie! He is a 1 year old Cockerpoo who is on the hunt for his furever home. He is looking for patient and understanding adopters who can help him settle into a home life. Reggie can live with children of secondary age who are confident around dogs and understand when he wants his own space. Reggie would like to be the only pet in the home but can have doggy friends out and about. Once he has settled into a home, leaving hours can be built up. Reggie would like to have his own, private garden.

Could you be Reggie's perfect match?

Reggie is a lovely boy who has been friendly with people he has met. He can be initially a little nervous but soon comes over for a fuss once he knows you! Reggie would benefit from learning new skills to help him settle into a home, including a refresher on toilet training. Due to his fur type, he will need regular grooming. He has recently had a full clip due to being matted and would benefit from grooming being done in a positive way moving forward to keep him in tip top condition and looking his best.

Please note that you won't be applying for a specific dog, but you can tell us what type of dog you're looking for. You can also add up to four favourites to your application to give us an idea of the dogs you like, so we can consider you for similar dogs. Once you've submitted your application, we can't change or update your favourites. Adding a dog to your application is not a reservation but a guide for us to find you a match.

Hugo

  • 10 months old

Hugo's ideal home Hugo is a happy little 9-month-old Cocker Spaniel on the search for an active home. He could join a home with a neutered and fully vaccinated dog, as long as they are able to cope with a boisterous pup who wants to play. Hugo has been in a home with cats previously but again can get quite excitable so any felines in the home must be very confident and bold

Cocker Spaniel Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Cocker Spaniel.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Cocker Spaniel Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
