About This Dog for Adoption

Adam's ideal home

Adam is an approximately 1-year-old boy who is still discovering the world. He can be a little shy and wary when meeting new people, but his curiosity soon shines through. He is super friendly and very excitable when meeting other dogs, and we feel he would thrive in a home with a confident resident dog who can help show him that the world isn’t such a scary place. Adam can live with other dogs (females must be neutered) and with children aged 8+ who understand how to be calm and gentle around anxious dogs. He has a medium energy level and is just learning how to play and have fun—playing with toys is a brand-new and exciting experience for him.

Could you be Adam's perfect match?

Adam is looking for a very dedicated and patient home that can commit to building his confidence slowly and steadily. He has not had a good start in life and has had very little exposure to everyday experiences, so he will need total rehabilitation. Normal household sights and sounds, such as vacuum cleaners, washing machines, and even a kettle are all completely new to him. Adam has never been out for walks and will need a slow intro to the world, having never been around residential areas everything he sees and all the noises he hears are going to be a new experience for him. He cannot be left alone initially and will need time to adjust to family life. A secure, private garden is essential, both to help him safely explore the outdoors and support housetraining, as he can be a flight risk. Adam is a truly lovely boy who, with lots of love, patience, and understanding, will grow into an amazing and rewarding family companion.
