About This Dog

Bruce's ideal home

Meet Bruce, a charming 7-year old Cocker Spaniel cross with a playful spirit and a heart full of love. This handsome boy absolutely adores his toys and could happily spend hours enjoying his favourite game fetch! Whether it’s in the garden or out and about, Bruce is always ready for a fun play session.

Bruce is a clever lad who already knows commands like sit and down, and he’s eager to keep learning. He’s housetrained and can be left alone for up to four hours, although he may need a little refresher as he settles into his new home.

He’s previously lived with a cat and could live with children aged 11 and over, as long as they understand his need for space at times. Bruce is also a great travel companion, as he’s good in the car and enjoys heading out on his walks, taking in all the sights and smells along the way.

Bruce would thrive in an active home where he can get plenty of exercise, playtime, and mental stimulation. In return, he’ll offer endless loyalty, companionship, and plenty of tail wags.

Could you be Bruce's perfect match?

This dog is currently being rehomed under our Homestay scheme. Under this scheme, the dog stays with their current owner until the point of adoption, when ownership transfers briefly to Dogs Trust and then to the new adopters. The benefits of Homestay for a dog are that it minimises disruption and prevents the dog having to come into kennels, however there is the potential the owner may pull out of the scheme prior to adoption. We understand the upset this may cause to potential adopters, and we work closely with owners to minimise the likelihood of this. However, it remains a possibility, and should this occur, Dogs Trust will prioritise finding adopters an alternative suitable dog.
