About This Dog for Adoption

Hugo's ideal home

Meet Hugo! This handsome boy has come into Dogs Trust care through no fault of his own and is ready to find his forever home! At the spritely age of 10 months, Hugo is looking for a family who will be happy to continue his puppy training and socialisation. Breed experience would be helpful with this, but not necessary. Hugo is a super social boy and regularly goes for walks with his 4-legged friends! We do feel he could share his new home with another dog, pending successful meets at the centre, but would be equally happy as the only dog where he can enjoy all the attention to himself! Hugo could live with dog savvy children aged 8+ who are confident around a bouncy, playful puppy.

Could you be Hugo's perfect match?

Hugo is a very sweet Cocker Spaniel pup. As is common with his breed, he is a curious, energetic boy so will thrive in a home who will take him on daily sniffy walks and long adventures! Hugo will appreciate quieter walking areas around forests and parks while he settles into his new home. He also travels well in the car for adventures further afield! Hugo has been used to a quieter home so far and will benefit from a similar environment again as he is still building his confidence around loud noises. He is a big fan of treats and toys which will be a fantastic tool for any training you take on together. Hugo loves nothing more than zooming around the garden with his favourite ball, so will appreciate a large, enclosed outdoor space where he can run to his heart's content! As Hugo is only used to being left for short periods of time, he will appreciate a similar routine to begin with, but this could be built gradually once settled in his new home. If you feel Hugo may be the dog for you, follow the steps below to submit an application and don't forget to "favourite" Hugo!
