About This Dog for Adoption

Daisy's ideal home

Delightful Daisy is looking for her second chance at a family through no fault of her own. Understandably she was a little unsure of her new surroundings at first but since she has gone into one of our wonderful foster carer homes, she has quickly found her paws again. Daisy is looking for some stability in her new home so new owners should not be planning any big changes in their circumstances in the near future. Daisy has lived with children before and could do so again as long as they are sensible around toys as Daisy could be protective of her toys in her previous home but has not shown any guarding behaviours in our care. She could be left for a couple of hours at a time with a view to building up longer leaving hours gradually and probably would prefer not to live with another dog but could have calm walking buddies.

Could you be Daisy's perfect match?

Daisy is the most affectionate little lady and would love a home where she will get lots of cuddles and walks where she can say hello to new people. She has met other dogs on walks and is fine but more wary of overly friendly and confident dogs. She is still really young so think as she grows in confidence, she will enjoy a fairly active lifestyle. If she were to live with children, they would need to be 6 or over. Daisy has been the pawfect houseguest in her foster home so if you are looking for a loving, active companion then she just may be the dog for you.

Cocker Spaniel Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Cocker Spaniel.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Cocker Spaniel Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
