About This Dog for Adoption

Bobby's ideal home

Bobby is a 1 year old Malinois-cross who is looking for a quiet, adult-only home with a secure garden. He is lacking in confidence, so is needing patient and understanding adopters who will help him settle in and slowly build him up to his full potential. He enjoys walking in calm, relaxed environments, so walking routes like these near the home would be beneficial. Whilst he enjoys having doggy friends, he will need to be the only pet in the home. As he can be worried by the car, adopters will need to live within within an hour of the centre.

Could you be Bobby's perfect match?

Bobby is playful, affectionate and intelligent! He enjoys learning and being around his favourite people. He can be a little shy meeting new people, but comes around quickly and loves having a cuddle. Bobby is currently taking medication to help with his anxieties, but we plan to wean him off these as he settles into his new home. Our Vet will discuss this in more detail with potential matches. Our team will also provide support with training and confidence building. He is a curious little boy who in the right home will become a wonderful addition to the household.

Cocker Spaniel Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Cocker Spaniel.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Cocker Spaniel Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
