About This Dog

Leia's ideal home

Leia is a sensitive, shy girl of around two years old who finds the world a little overwhelming at times. She can be worried when meeting new people and is under-socialised with other dogs, so she will need calm, patient adopters who are willing to go at her pace and help her build confidence gradually. We are looking for a home for Leia and Obi together, both dogs have had a sheltered life so far and can feel worried by new environments, noises, and especially other dogs, so would benefit from a secure outdoor space of their own to help with gentle ongoing confidence-building. She has medium energy levels and will enjoy gentle play and enrichment once she feels settled. Leia cannot live with cats, other dogs, or small furries, but she could live with older teenagers who understand her needs and will give her space when she needs it. She will also require ongoing support and positive reinforcement to help her adapt back into home life.- Please note we are looking to rehome Leia and Obi together

Could you be Leia's perfect match?

Leia and Obi are deeply bonded and are looking for a home where they can stay together. Leia is looking for a committed home that understands she cannot be left alone initially, and any time apart will need to be introduced slowly and carefully. She will need continued rehabilitation, particularly around building confidence, coping with new situations, and settling into a routine. While she may be reserved at first, with time and patience Leia can form gentle, affectionate bonds and begin to show her true personality. She would thrive with adopters who are prepared to invest in her emotional wellbeing and celebrate the small milestones along the way. Together, Obi and Leia would flourish in a quiet, understanding home committed to helping them settle back into home life. With time, patience, and consistency, they will make a loving and rewarding addition to the right family. -Obi is the braver of the pair and once he knows you he is happy to receive a fuss and a cuddle, he is more relaxed out and about, although he is nervous you can see he has an inquisitive side and wants to explore.
