About This Dog for Adoption

Arthur's ideal home

Meet Arthur, the 13 year old Cocker Spaniel who is a true cheeky gentleman. Arthur is blind, but he doesn't let his slow him down at all! He enjoys chilled walks, sniffing the world around him, and most of all—mealtime! His nose is his guide and food is his love language. Arthur could comfortably live with another calm doggy friend but it's not a necessity for him. He can happily live with secondary school aged children or older that don't mind getting bumped into every now and then when Arthur is taking a wander! Arthur could be happily left for a couple of hours once he's settled and has got the layout of his environment.

Could you be Arthur's perfect match?

Arthur is looking for someone who values the quiet moments. He needs a kind, patient human who understands that aging pets may have ongoing medical needs and who is willing to provide a little extra care in exchange for a lot of heart. A predictable routine, gentle affection, and a safe space to call home are all Arthur really asks for. Arthur would do well in a peaceful home where he can feel secure and relaxed. He doesn’t need constant attention or excitement—just a soft bed, a loving presence, and the occasional treat.

Cocker Spaniel Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Cocker Spaniel.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Cocker Spaniel Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
