About This Dog

Dandelion (Dandy)'s ideal home

Dandelion (aka Dandy) is a delightful little 5 year old spaniel. He could share his new home with a calm dog, of a similar size and nature. He would need his own garden to relax and play in, and could live with older primary school children used to playful, bouncy dogs. Once settled he could be built up to being left for a couple of hours. Dandy loves his walks and is a high energy boy, always up for a game of ball or chase, and loves his toys. He travels well in the car and would love to go out visiting places for new sniffs and adventures. He is worried on seeing the vet, so new adopters would need to support him with this.

Could you be Dandelion (Dandy)'s perfect match?

Dandy is a super affectionate and fun little lad. He loves a cuddle on the sofa and likes to be close to his humans, and a lap is one of his favourite places! He gets very excited to go out for a walk, and can walk well on lead, although he's a bit pully when excited, so some loose lead training would be useful once settled. He loves treats and balls so either could be used to help him learn, and he already knows some basic commands. He could share his home with another dog who understood that he's not always wanting to play, and does sometimes like to do his own thing. Dandy would make a great walking companion - he's full of energy and loves to be outdoors. He could share his home with children aged 8 and over who are confident around enthusiastic, bouncy dogs, and once settled in the home could be left for 2 or 3 hours, alhough when first adopted he is likely to be quite clingy and unsure. He's been fully house trained in his foster home, and will ask to go into the garden where he loves to bury his toys and treats! He's happy to meet dogs out on walks, and will say hello nicely, but doesnt like them to be too over the top, and prefers a quick greeting then will walk on to find more sniffs and fun. Could you offer Dandy the home he's seeking?

Milo would thrive as the only pet in the household, but he can socialise with other dogs outside, given slow and patient introductions to build his confidence.
