Cody's ideal home

Cody is on the search for his forever home with adopters who are keen to continue his training in the home. He ideally would like a family who have experience with the cocker spaniel breed and who can provide him with lots of mental and physical stimulation. Adopters will need to take things at Cody’s pace and come for multiple meets at the centre to build a bond. Cody can find settling in new places challenging and therefore adopters will need to be understanding that he may not feel settled for a while. Cody is searching for an adult only home with minimal visitors. He would like to be the only dog in the home but could have parallel walking friends when out and about. Cody does have some medical considerations that will be discussed upon booking with he vet team. Cody is currently living at another location in South Oxfordshire, potential adopters will need to be willing to travel to said location to meet him multiple times before going home. All details will be provided upon booking.

Could you be Cody's perfect match?

Cody is an energetic and fun boy who is has lots of enthusiasm for life. Once Cody gets to know you, he is a sweet and affectionate boy who will ask for fuss and attention when he wants it. Cody enjoys playing with toys, particularly fetching a ball and holding soft toys in his mouth. He has learnt to ‘swap and drop’ the toys when engaging in games. Cody enjoys using his brain and likes to get stuck into free work and tracking. He is a very intelligent boy who loves learning new things. He already knows his name, sit, paw, bed and is positively muzzle trained. Cody is a wonderful boy who is sure to bring lots of joy to his forever home.

Cocker Spaniel Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Cocker Spaniel.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
