About This Dog

Bailey's ideal home

Meet Bailey, our gorgeous 7 year old Cocker Spaniel. This handsome boy was a worried soul when he first came in to our care, but has since come out of his shell a bit, showing us the more excitable side of his personality through making friends with his handlers. Bailey can live with another calm dog in the home, pending a successful meet at our centre, as well as other small pets with managed intros in the home. Due to being a bit more worried at first, Bailey would prefer for all children in the home to be secondary school aged and know how to read his body language and give him space when he needs it. Bailey struggles to be left on his own and is looking for owners who are willing to continue the separation training that we have been working on with him in our centre. Bailey is really missing his home comforts and we are certain that once he is back in the home with structure and predictability, he will be able to relax and come out of his shell more.

Could you be Bailey's perfect match?

Bailey may need a few meets before adoption in order to get to know his new family, but once he feels safe with you he loves a fuss and a cuddle. He travels well in the car and likes to get out for all sorts of walks and adventures with his family. When out and about Bailey is very friendly with other dogs, but mainly just happily ignores them after a quick sniff. True to his breed, he loves playing with his toys, specifically his soft toys and playing fetch in the garden. Bailey mainly struggles with being left alone and can bark when he is upset, so will need patient owners who are willing to put in the time and training to help build his confidence around separation. Once he is settled in the home, he would love to sleep on his owner's bed where he feels safest. This snuggly boy can't wait to find his forever home.
