About This Puppy

These 2 pups had the best and the worst start in life. This was my 19th litter and the 1st time that a mother has rejected her pups. It was Dash's 1st and last litter. Fortunately her sister Dottie had her own pups 10 days earlier and willingly nursed the pups who were hand and Dottie reared. The 2 boys have had the benefit of interacting with their cousins. They are thriving. They spend the day outside and come indoors at night. The pups will be microchipped and vet checked prior to going to their new forever homes. They are on a varied diet which includes kibble, Butchers Puppy Perfect, grated carrot, tinned fish in spring water, defrosted cooked chicken cubes, I also cook minced chicken with vegetables, rice oats and pasta. The pups will come with a weeks supply of food, a blanket, toy, ball, clicker. I use the AWF puppy contract. The pups are up to date with worming. They will be microchipped and vet checked prior to going to their new forever homes. I do not vaccinate as different vets use different vaccines and the pup would have to start the whole course again.

Buying a Puppy Safely

    Always visit the puppy in person and see where it has been raised.
  3. Reservation / Deposit
    Deposits should only be paid once you have seen the puppy in person.
  4. Collect your puppy
    Once you are happy, arrange collection and bring your puppy home.

Cocker Spaniel Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Cocker Spaniel.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy without you viewing it first
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Cocker Spaniel Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website
  • Seller asks you to send money to a bank account with a different name to the person you have been communicating with
  • The dog/puppy is advertised significantly cheaper than similar listings
