About This Dog for Adoption

Bear's ideal home

Bear is a loving boy who is on the search for his new family. He has a good history around children so is suitable to live with secondary school aged children. Bear can share his home with a playful pooch that can match his playstyle, pending a successful mix at the centre. Bear previously lived with cats, and could do so again with a confident cat pending successful scent swaps. This would be in a home that can take introductions gradually, with the ability to keep them separate at first. Bear is residing in one of our wonderful foster homes.

Could you be Bear's perfect match?

Bear is a 2 year old un"bear"ably cute Cockapoo, that has come into our care after being too playful for the other resident dog. He tries his best to be housetrained so with a tasty treat on offer, should pick this up in no time! Bear has struggled with being left alone so will benefit from this being built up gradually. However, he has good history of travelling in a vehicle so can join his new family on trips out. If you can't "bear" to be without a furry companion, could Bear be the one for you?

Dogs Trust Adoption Process

Thinking of adopting through Dogs Trust? Here's what to expect before you start your application.

  • Register your interest in adoption on the Dogs Trust website - you can't apply for specific dogs directly.
  • Create an account to favourite dogs you're interested in and help the team understand your preferences.
  • Dogs Trust will match you with dogs that fit your lifestyle and home environment.
  • Some dogs listed here may already be rehomed or reserved, as updates can take time to sync.
  • If matched, you'll go through their adoption and home-check process before taking your new dog home.
