Benny is a 2-year-old, medium-energy cockerpoo who is shy when first meeting new people but quickly warms up once he feels safe and secure. He’s confident around other dogs and could potentially live with another dog, pending a successful mix here at the centre. Benny loves exploring new areas and really enjoys his walks, so he’ll suit an active home that can meet his exercise needs. He can live with children aged 14+ who understand how to respect his boundaries and won’t overwhelm him, and he would thrive in a quiet home environment where he can settle at his own pace.

Benny is looking for patient, understanding adopters who are willing to put time into training and confidence-building, particularly around formal handling such as vet visits and grooming. He cannot currently be left alone, so any leaving hours will need to be built up gradually once he’s settled into his new home. With the right support, Benny is an affectionate and loyal companion who forms strong bonds with his people. He also travels well in the car, making him a great partner for adventures once that relationship is built.
