About This Dog for Adoption

Indie's ideal home

Meet Indie, a sweet 4-year-old Cocker Spaniel who’s ready to find her forever home. Indie is a friendly girl who loves people and enjoys saying hello to everyone she meets. She’s sociable with other dogs and happy to walk alongside them, but she’d prefer to be the only dog in the home, soaking up all the love for herself. She could also potentially live with cats and other small pets too. When Indie first arrived with us, she was a little nervous where she was unsure about handling, but with patient training and reassurance she’s grown hugely in confidence. She’s now much more comfortable, though she can still be a bit vocal when she first meets new people or situations – she just needs a moment to settle. Due to this, Indie would be best suited to a home with secondary –aged children who can understand when Indie is feeling nervous and when to give her space and reassurance.
Indie is happy being left for short periods once settled into her new home and relaxes nicely. She loves exploring new places independently, then checking back in for fuss, cuddles, and affection – the best of both worlds!

Could you be Indie's perfect match?

Indie came into us by no fault of her own, her previous owners had a change in family circumstances. Indie is a very lovable girl with a lot of enthusiasms but she can still feel nervous around grooming and vet handling, so ongoing positive training in these areas will really help her continue to shine. Although it would be nice, Indie doesn’t need a private garden and would cope well with communal outdoor access, as long as she gets her daily adventures. Indie has come such a long way and just needs a kind, understanding home to keep building her confidence. In return, she’ll give you loyalty, love, and plenty of spaniel charm.
