Elmo's ideal home

Elmo is a fun-loving, energetic six-year-old who’s always ready to head out for an adventure. He adores exploring new places, following his nose, and enjoying long walks with calm canine companions. While he is happy to have calm walking buddies, Elmo would need an adult-only home and the only pet in the home, due to his resource guarding. Elmo can be left alone for a few hours once settled, but he’ll always be happiest when he knows his humans are nearby and part of his daily routine.

Elmo can be a little worried when meeting new people, so he’ll need patient adopters who are happy to take things at his pace. Multiple meets at the centre will help him build trust and get to know you properly. Our training and behaviour team will be there to support you managing resource guarding. Once Elmo feels comfortable, he blossoms into a loving, affectionate companion who’ll reward your patience with loyalty and plenty of cuddles. If you’re looking for an active, devoted friend and are willing to give Elmo the time he needs to settle, he could be the perfect match for you.
