About This Dog for Adoption

Belle's ideal home

Belle would love to find her furever home with her best friend Pebbles. Belle is a 6 year old Springer cross Cocker Spaniel and Pebbles is a 8 year old Cockerpoo. They can live with children aged 8 years and older and would like to live with no other animals. Once they have settled into home life, leaving hours can be introduced. Belle and Pebbles would like to have their own, secure garden with at least 4ft fencing.

Could you be Belle's perfect match?

Belle and Pebbles came into our care through no fault of their own. They are a bonded pair who love being together and give each other comfort from one another. Belle would benefit from some training, which includes confidence around wearing a harness as can be worried and also loose lead walking as can be strong on lead. She enjoys food so this can be handy with training. They have both been friendly with everyone they have met at the centre so would make a great addition to a family.

Please note that you won’t be applying for a specific dog, but you can tell us what type of dog you’re looking for. You can also add up to four favourites to your application to give us an idea of the dogs you like, so we can consider you for similar dogs. Once you’ve submitted your application, we can’t change or update your favourites. Adding a dog to your application is not a reservation but a guide for us to find you a match.

Cocker Spaniel Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Cocker Spaniel.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Cocker Spaniel Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
