About This Dog for Adoption

Rosie's ideal home

Meet 4 year old Rosie. she's a friendly Poodle x Cocker Spaniel who is on the search for a new forever home. She is currently in foster with another dog and getting along well, so could live with another neutered dog pending successful meet at the centre near Penrith. Rosie could live with secondary school aged children who are confident around an energetic dog. Rosie is currently in a foster home where she likes to follow her foster carer, she loves going her walks and being in the garden where she can get a zoomie on! Rosie will need a secure garden to enjoy and play in to burn off some of her energy!

Could you be Rosie's perfect match?

Rosie is friendly with everyone she meets although she can be a little shy initially. Rosie is a very affectionate in the home and would love a family where she can be the centre of attention. She is active on the lead and can pull a little, she loves her toys and carries a ball around, she is good to handle. She came to us with her coat in a poor state, she has been groomed and will need to be groomed on a regular basis, (well behaved for grooming). potential adopters will need to consider this, as grooming for cocker poos is recommended approx. every 6 weeks.

Cocker Spaniel Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Cocker Spaniel.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Cocker Spaniel Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
