About This Dog for Adoption

Snoopy's ideal home

Snoopy is a cute, 2 year old, Cocker Spaniel! He can be shy when meeting people initially but when he knows you is he SO cuddly and loves attention. He is doing really well in foster and is starting to enjoy going for little walks and exploring the world. It’s going to take time for him to feel confident out and about so is looking for a family that can let him do things at his own pace. Snoopy gains confidence from other dogs so is looking for a home with another resident dog. He wants a family that can build up his confidence and give him all the cuddles and the love he deserves.

Could you be Snoopy's perfect match?

Snoopy can live with children over 12 years old. He needs to live with another dog in the home as he relies on them for most of his confidence. He can take a little while to warm up to a new dog and can be worried meeting them at first but when he’s comfortable he loves having a run and play. Snoopy is looking for someone who is around most of the day who can chill with him on the sofa and give him lots of cuddles. Snoopy can be worried of new people and visitors, so a quiet home without too many visitors would suit him best. Snoopy is a great chap who cannot wait to start his new life!

Cocker Spaniel Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Cocker Spaniel.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Cocker Spaniel Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
