Beau's ideal home

Beau is looking for a quiet and calm, adult only household as she can be quite worried and anxious around handling, so understanding adopters who can help her settle and give her space are needed. Ideally, Beau’s forever home wouldn’t have open plan living, as she would thrive having her own space within the home where she wouldn’t be disturbed. Whilst Beau would need to be the only dog in the home, she mixes with other dogs well so could have walking buddies, and she cannot live with cats or other animals. Beau struggles being left on her own, so adopters who are home most of the day would be best suited, who can then help build this up slowly once settled. She was fully toilet trained in her previous home, but may need a refresher once in a new environment. As a Cocker Spaniel, Beau needs ongoing grooming, which is something she can struggle with, so adopters must be willing to work closely with our Behaviour team to understand how this can be managed, and be willing to muzzle her during grooming sessions, as well as vet visits.
Beau will need to meet her adopters multiple times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. She will also need Home Visits with our Behaviour team, so adopters must live within a 1 hours drive of the Rehoming Centre to be able to facilitate this. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 – 10 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Beautiful Beau is a 5 and a half year old Cocker Spaniel with a zest for life! She is an energetic girl, and true to her breed loves being active and is always sniffing and exploring her surroundings. She can get bored if she has nothing to do, so she would benefit from adopters who would love to continue her training and keep her busy mind active.
