Jim's ideal home

Jim is a lively one-year-old Cocker Spaniel who is bursting with energy and curiosity. He could live with children aged 8 and over and may even be able to share his home with another dog—or even his brother! However, he has shown some toy-guarding behaviours, so he needs to be given space when he is playing. He has no known history with other pets but has shown potential to live with them if introduced carefully. Jim has not been left alone much before, so his new family will need to be around to start with and build up leaving hours gradually. A quieter home away from busy roads would be best, as he finds traffic very exciting and is still learning to focus around it.

Jim is a typical one-year-old Spaniel—full of beans, eager to learn, and always up for a game. He is a big fan of his toys and will happily chase after a rope toy or puzzle his way through an enrichment game. While he enjoys fuss now and then, he is not a lapdog and prefers to be on the go. He has not had much training in his previous life, but he is picking things up quickly and is already learning some great skills, like ‘watch,’ ‘this way,’ and ‘find it.’ Jim would love a home with people who are keen on training and can give him fun things to do, whether that is scent work, man trailing, or just lots of exciting walks and enrichment.
